Grandma’s Fried Eggs
A story about my sweet Chinese grandmother, Joanne Lin.
Kodak 200
During the summer of 2022, I found 200 Kodak film slides from the 1960s at a thrift store in Berkeley, California. I purchased the 5 containers of slides and scanned each of the images, curious to learn about this family’s forgotten history. Kodak 200 includes fictional letters I wrote, inspired by this unknown family’s past based on the found images and captions on the slides.
Rosey
Meet Roosevelt Stephens, also known as Rosey. An avid musician, chess player, and artist. Living in Oakland for most of his life, he sits at the Chess Club on the corner of Haste Street and Telegraph Avenue everyday, where he observes the people walking by and sketches intricate storyboards for original movie ideas he hopes to one day sell to Pixar.
The Magic Cookies
Join me as I run around Paris looking for the Magic Cookies. This short film is based on a childhood story my mom told me as a kid. Cheers to the Magic Cookies inside all of us.
